Having celebrated our 15th Anniversary throughout 2010, it is is fitting that we kick off 2011
with two fresh updates of seminal Ovum releases, from David Alvarado and Luca Bacchetti.

From his early releases for Definitive Records, his own Bomb Records imprint that helped
bolster the careers of the likes of Derrick Carter and Eddie Amador. To his impressive body
of work for labels including Strictly Rhythm, Peace Frog, Yoshitoshi and of course Ovum.
David Alvarado’s music has been, and still is capturing the hearts and souls of electronic
music fans the world over.

On today’s release, David steps up to bring us a new interpretation of Luca Bacchetti’s
2008 Ovum debut, “El Matador”, and once again displays his unique genre-crossing ability
that will see this deep, tribal journey played by a huge cross section of DJ’s.

Our great Tuscan friend Luca, repays in the grandest of styles by lending his remix talents
to David’s classic cut “Klugh”. Luca is another producer who, with his DJ sets and productions,
can move effortlessly from the darkest of dancefloors to the most sun-drenched of terraces.
Here he has transformed the original into a chunky house number, working original elements
together with a new vocal sample and making it his own.

To round out this promo package, we also bring you the digital only ‘2011 Version’ of “Klugh”
from David himself. A perfect start to 2011. A year that we envisage, to be full of yet more
