Hello Hideout.
How I missed your sexy pink logo and your black background but please forgive me as I have been traveling. And you may be thinking, well there is internet when you travel, isn’t there?
But as I was boarding my plane to leave beautiful Barcelona, on our way to Moscow, my hard drive decided it hated me and departed from this world in one huge asshole suicidal move. Laptop-less and also picture-less left me in a slight bind. See, the plan was to post some pictures from my time in Spain and a couple more of the other places I visited. But now I sit here with zero pictures except the memories that are floating around in my brain. Unfortunately I do not possess artistic talents, or I could draw or paint you a picture. I’m left with words. Lucky you.
So, let’s play a game. Word Association or more like Phrase association.
You say “Ibiza” and this is what comes to mind: Don’t get out of a car in the middle of no where, gazpacho, Hierbas, fun fiestas, and balloons.
Barcelona: Gaudi was an architectural genius, beach parties, no taxi-cabs (during Sonar), chipirones, and amazing people. Yum.(this yum is related to the chipirones not the people… or is it?)
Moscow: Insane Fridays, Girls dancing on tables, spies, and six lanes of traffic on each side… and an amazing rooftop.
Kiev: Quiet, family and food. (A little detour from partying to visit the significant other’s family)
Paris: Unusually hot, Le Batofour – nightclub on a boat, Freakn’Chic.
London: Superfreq, again friends that are amazing, Half Baked in a car park and a Home House.
So now after 26 days, 5 countries and 6 cities I am back in Los Angeles. Sunday, I was on the Standard rooftop celebrating birthdays and dancing to Dyed, Jonny White, Nitin and Droog. But… I am counting the days when I can return and retake some pictures that I can actually share with you.
