After the huge succes of its tenth release (Davide Squillace & Guti )
Hideout is back with with the Third slice of the Deconstruction Revisited Series.
This time, Crocodile Tears, which appeared on Davide Squillace´s Tutti Frutti Ep (HO003) got offered three amazing relectures.
It all starts with Robert Dietz (Cadenza, Cecille…) who delivers a super modern and energetic relecture where intelligent synthetic percussions mess around with weird noises and processed effects. After two minutes a monophonic synths starts its battle with vocals from Squillace´s original to end up on a more minimal groove.
G Flame aka Portugese techno start Cisco Ferreira (The Advent) ´s relecture directly sets the tone: A nasty bassline with a crazy synth stab flies over a soft but very heavy techno beat, to evolve to an elegant tech house track (no bongos involved)
Finally, Mr Cocolina aka Sis´s reinterpretation starts with a long intro with the kick dropping after more than 3 minutes. The melancholic feeling of the track builds into
a very subtile beat with reverbered elements all over. The percussion layers and delicate melodic synths add some organic flavour to the music so the 14 minutes remix is never boring and takes you to a nice journey thru sounds. You can tell somebody was in love when making such a beautiful song.
Another must have from Hideout !!!

Seems not so long ago when Davide Squillace and Luca Bacchetti joined forces to create HIDEOUT.. next thing you know, tenth release is ready to release, time flies. For this new record , Davide teamed up with his long time friend Guti (Desolat, Supplement Facts, Crosstown rebels)
That Ginger Ponytail starts with with complex latin percussion patterns, followed with a catchy vocal hook and some african style vibes. On the flip side, techno legend Dubfire delivers a crazy dub techno remix while house legend Kerri Chandler used more of the latin feel and added some typical chicago organ. A must have for all deejays !!

Patrick Lindsey is no new comer.
Active in the techno world since more than a decade , releasing music on labels like Terminal M, Kanzleramt, Kling Klong, SCI+TEC to name a few.
So when Davide Squillace and Luca Bacchetti received a demo from the german producer, they were really impatient to open the zip file and discover what was inside . The two discovered a four track ep full of analogue synths, organic beats and grooooove. So here is Hideout ninth reference: Get up and Bounce EP by Patrick Lindsey. It all starts with ” What I remember ” a very strong anthem with a disco funk loop background and deep vocals by K. Mason. The title track ” Get up And Bounce ” is next with its hypnotic ” Get Up ” voice snipet on top of a shuffled semi acoustic groove full of cow bells and snare drums. Third track of the EP is named Lockruf, evolving from a jazz sample thru vocal snipets , crazy drum rolls and saxo hooks. The last track of the EP is Schleifkraft where a ” straight to the point ” chicago groove is topped with some more vocals, a very bouncy bass line and analogue synth sounds.
A new reference in the HIDEOUT catalogue, four new techno tracks soon to become classics !!!

After only a little more than a year , Hideout became one of the most respected labels out of Barcelona. As every label “en vue “, a lot of fresh producers are sending music every day. Davide Squillace and Luca Bacchetti are always on the quest for new music and new talents, they remember that they were also those new comers once, so they decided to give the chance to the best tracks received last year. Here we go with a bundle of six club tracks, produced by the best of the best : Mind Against are two new talents from Milan, Dama are a pair of great producers from Naples, Andrea Oliva is an italian producer from Basel who will also be released on Cadenza in may, Lucio Aquilina is no new comer as he already produced his own ep with Hideout last year. Get ready to move your asses once again on Hideout Beats, and take good notes of those names because you will be seeing them a lot very soon

The Hideout Deconstruction Revisited series is going into phase two, here we go:
After the french connection (D’Julz and Paul Ritch ), this new release sees a more international bundle of top class producers : To start, we have Dusseldorf’s master producer Martin Buttrich (Desolat, Planet E, Pokerflat) put his magic hands on Davide Squillace & Luca Bacchetti´s Around The Bay (HO001). The track starts withan “acoustic style” beat and, a strong sine sub bass line, evolving to a jacking groove with rising vocal sample, intelligent synth lines , and arabic flute break. On B2, Carola Pisaturo (Titbit, Claque) delivers a more minimal rework, using bouncy sub bass, vocal snipets, 909 snare and clap… giving Davide Squillace and Luca Bacchetti’s Around The Bay a rebirth. On the flip side, Mathias Kaden’s ( Vakant , Cocoon ) relecture starts with a strong shuffled tribal beat,
909 toms , synth lines … Mathias interprets the original elements of Around The bay in a very personal way, dropping snipets into reverbs and delays in order to create a deep rising atmosphere untill the track peaks. Just like in Davide’s and Luca’s sets – just when you thought there can’t be more after the peak, they surprise you with another groove that captures body & mind: Enjoy this edition of the Deconstruction Revisited series, they’ll be back with more!

No matter where you spent your last summer holidays, Davide Squillace or Luca Bacchetti were
there to rock a club or a festival near you, spreading the Hideout sound and life style around
Europe and beyond. But don´t think the two accomplices only spent the last months hanging out
on sunny beaches when they were not behind decks or waiting for their next flights. They were
plotting for something big: Deconstruction Revisited. Deconstruction Revisited is a brand new
series of releases, bringing friends and artists Davide and Luca like and respect into the family.
Each record will include revisits of the Hideout catalogue by top notch producers.
This will all start with Slices 1: a bundle made in Paris where two of the best producers from the
city of Amelie made their reinterpretation of Luca Bacchetti’s music. First of all, Djulz
(Poker Flat, Bass Culture, Ovum…) took “The Endless Summer” and turned it into a house
anthem with a great shuffled 909 beat, some classy organ stabs and a groovy bass line.
Then Paul Ritch ( Quartz ) made his own interpretation of “What Your Soul Sings”
Paul uses here strong beats, funky cumbaia style bass line, white noises and driving percussions.

The Fourth release from newly founded Hideout Records comes from co-label owner himself, Luca Bacchetti. Hot on the heels of his recent releases on Ovum and Be As One, Luca is back once more with a two track EP that will surely be the center of attention on this Summer’s dance floors. The Endless Summer EP is full of surprises, in typical Luca Bacchetti style, while still maintaining the man’s trademark touch, sound and feel. On a release not to be overlooked, the Lucca-born, Barcelona based beatsmith plays two contradictory ideas against each other to reveal a new side of emotion. The sunny brightness of The Endless Summer shimmers into the darker, introspective world or What Your Soul Sings and draws the listener into closer tough with the seemingly disparate sounds.
The Endless Summer is also the first solo effort on Hideout after the West Side Story EP, a collaboration with co-label chief Davide Squillace. From one of the sound’s shining lights, please enjoy the 2010 “Endless Summer!”
